Oh, my Lucy – you have some ’splaining to do! We had so much fun at the KW Knitters Fair and wearing our custom made aprons was definitely part of it. This is our picture in honour of Lucille Ball and her pearls. And then of course we had to do the Charlie’s Angels pose.

Thank you to everyone who came out and stopped to say hi. We had record numbers for the Fair – how about close to 2000!!!

We have been biting our tongues around here for 3 months now! It has been very hard but we can finally let the cat out of the bag. When we were talking to Beth at Lorna’s Laces and were ordering some awesome colours (including Amy’s – I sooo love her colourway) – Beth mentioned they are doing a COOKIE A colourway to coincide with the release of her pattern in the Fall Knitty. So of course we ordered some.
Well how many times in the last week did I refresh the Knitty link? We were sworn to secrecy and it is here and we couldn’t tell you and now we can!!! We have Cookie A’s Deep Dark Secret colourway in Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock!
And it’s packed to go to the Fair. Do stop by and fondle (the yarn that is).

I love this spot in the shop. Don’t you just feel like curling up with a good knitting book and a cup of tea? But there’s no time for that – we’ve been moving and shaking around here. I showed you the wall of Cascade last time (gorgeous – Thank you Lynne & Cari) but there is a lot of other stuff shuffling around the shop.
Everytime the delivery trucks drive by the door I hold my breath – I’m not sure if I want them to stop or not. I do – cause I can’t wait to see all the new stuff but I don’t cause then we have to put it all away but I do cause I REALLY want to see all the new yarns and patterns and fondle and love it and call it George – oh right- back on track. Anyways, the guys just keep bringing it in.

Can we all say aaahhhh for the Jade Sapphire or for Alchemy?

And I’ve had the joy of having my Grand-daughter Darrian helping this week in the shop. She’s been sorting and organizing and bagging things. She’s been a real help. We’re getting ready for the Fair as well as finding homes for the new yarns, so I’ve decided that a few of the lines we had to clear to make room for the new yarns are being discounted and I’m going to bring to the Fair.
New stuff – Noro sock (lots of it), New Classic Elite books & yarns, Debbie Bliss Magazine is here. And more – but I need to get back to work.
